We’ve read all sorts of comments, and it’s very interesting to read how people view our film.

We know it’s a little weird and awkward… 

But it was fun to do!

So after 3 years I finally decided to upload this weird animation short of mine! It’s from my first year at the HKU studying animation. 

There is a LOT i’m not happy with, but it’s been so long now. I don’t care anymore.

Some very rough sketches and concept art I made for my graduation film, but I’m not making this one anymore…

As you can see it was all about native americans. The story changed a lot of times, different versions of the story can be seen in my sketches. Almost all of them had the same bad/sad ending.

The new concept of my graduation film is going to be something totally different, it will also be a collaboration with my classmate Nicole.

Some concept art, character designs and a colorscript I did as part of a group for the Let’s all go to the lobby animation. The style is inspired by cartoon modern art.

Really old sketches from last schoolyear: 2011-2012. Apperently I had a weak spot for red headed kids.

Clay Woman

I had the brilliant idea of claying a woman in a weird kind of yoga pose. It didn't turned out the way I would have liked. So I'm only showing this small piece of it. ;) It's still very rough.

Depth animation

A few assignments for TvPaint class:

One head rotating that I drew. The other head(1 frame) is from a classmate, so I had to make that one rotate too. After that you'll see a cube floating in space(loop). To make depth into 2d animation is really hard to do. So it was a good learning experience.

Make one door that opens, go through a room(s) and make it end with the door of a classmate. (so the door at the end is not mine) It's one big animation with the whole class together.
